Paulaner Brauhaus
V&A Waterfront, Cape Town - www.paulaner.co.za
Open since 2001, the Paulaner Bräuhaus in Cape Town is situated in the
Clock Tower Precinct of Cape Town's Victoria & Alfred Waterfront in view
of the harbour and seals which can be observed from the large beer garden.
A pleasant, casual restaurant and beer garden await your arrival – as
do the freshest Bavarian Maß of beer and traditional “Bayrische Geschmack”,
or cuisines. The mircrobrewery’s storage cellar is the only one worldwide
below sea level where beer is created fresh on site – by an experienced
German brewmaster!
All Paulaner beers offered in the brewhouse are brewed on site in unadulterated
form according to the German purity law of 1516. Whether light or dark:
all Paulaner beers are always tapped fresh and with lots of fizz. The
special beers offered twice to three times a year on a seasonal basis
are also brewed internally for guests to see.
The style of cuisine is typically Bavarian, of course. The menu contains
Munich specialities (PAULANER Classics) as well as popular international
dishes and food trends. To the surprise and delight of guests, dishes
such as hog roast and knuckle of pork are served in cast iron pans and
Bavarian snacks are presented on wooden boards
